Towing Made Easy
Our Team Detroit creative group worked with Armstrong White to design and produce this Rear View Camera animation for Ford F-150. As shown in this animation, towing heavy loads is a whole lot easier with a rear view camera. To create the animation, we shot real world backplate images and domes to capture the environment and reflection data, and then rendered the CGI vehicle into the environment. The Armstrong White creative team did a really nice job of lighting and compositing the moving Ford F-150 into the environment. The animation looks great and is pretty seamless---even down to the CGI hand shifting the vehicle---and it was done at a fraction of the cost of a live action shoot. Another benefit of utilizing this type of CGI production process for our Ford Digital content is that it can be easily and cost effectively updated each model year. The costs to update vehicle PDMs and re-render the animations and still images is far less than re-shooting.

Advanced Safety Features and Peace of Mind
Experience all of the advanced safety features offered in the Ford F-150 that provide a lot more than peace of mind. Seatbelts and airbags that adjust to your size and shape, and a steel safety cage with high tech crumple zones come to life in this 2014 Telly Award winning CGI animation. We worked with the creative team at Digital Image Studios (DIS) to design and produce 3 versions of this stylized safety animation for our Ford Car, Truck and Lincoln clients. For each version, DIS created a unique CGI environment reflective of each brand's identity, and we incorporated unique music and VO Talent as well to maintain brand distinctiveness. But, the camera path, safety features, and storytelling were leveraged across all three animations resulting in a very cost effective animation package, and very happy clients.
