Birth of the Jill Wagner Mercury Phenomenon
Little did we know when we picked Jill Wagner to be our Mercury Spokesperson that she would become a bit of a cultural icon, and that the Mercury Spokesperson Campaign would last over 5 years---an eternity in our business. Indeed, with the help of Director Danny Duchovny, and Cucolorus, Jill became an incredibly popular and effective spokesperson for the Mercury brand. She brought an energy and excitement to Mercury that had ESPN radio announcers asking "who is that Mercury girl" and customers asking us "where can we get those cool turquoise shoes?" This is the first Jill Wagner Mercury Spokesperson Campaign spot, the one that started it all. Watch for the cool blue shoes.

Grocery Shopping with Jill...and Mercury Mariner
Jill and the Mercury Spokesperson Campaign quickly became popular and successful. And, with this success, the campaign evolved beyond merely having Jill demonstrate Mercury product features to capturing more of her attitude and lifestyle. This Mariner spot features a Mercury cross-branding partnership with Wild Oats and gives us a glimpse into Saturday morning errands with Mercury Spokesperson Jill Wagner. This spot was also directed by Danny Duchovny of Cucolorus and edited by Dennis Kutzen.
