Enough Room to Embarrass the Whole Team
The Mercury Mountaineer provides seating for 7 passengers comfortably, or uncomfortably depending on your point of view. Director CJ Waldman and Harvest Productions helped us capture the fun of a Dad coaching his son's Little League team and picking up all the players on the way to a game. Lost Planet Editor Paul Martinez utilized some playful intercutting of father and son that reminds us how, despite your best intentions, you're always gonna embarrass your kid.

Who Doesn't Like Making a Mess?
Mercury Montego's versatility is put to the test as a three year old kid bombards his Dad with Cheerios. This spot remains an all time favorite of mine because anyone who has kids has experienced this type of Saturday morning drive. Director John Mastromonaco and the Bravo Zulu production team did a great job of capturing the chaos as Dad tries to keep his Montego clean while its raining Cheeries. Jigsaw Editor and Owner Jon Hopp, now with Optimus, added some great father and son interaction in his lighthearted edit. And the upbeat music track and sound design that Face the Music created for us seems about perfect.

Early Bird Gets the Mariner
Baker Smith and CJ Waldman of Harvest directed all of the initial storytelling spots in the Mercury "New Doors Opened" Campaign for Y&R and Lincoln Mercury. In "First Dibs," Baker Smith and Editor Paul Martinez from Lost Planet Editorial, totally capture the playful competition between a husband and wife to drive the Mercury Mariner. It is a fun spot that really helped set a new tone for the Mercury brand.

Man's Best Friend Resists Temptation
A loyal Mercury Mountaineer owner puts his loyal dog through all manner of temptation in this fun spot directed by CJ Waldman of Harvest and edited by Hank Corwin of Lost Planet. The spot amusingly underscores the brand message that, just like our canine hero, Mercury Mountaineer owners are loyal and faithful despite many competitive temptations.
